Hi Team,

 

I have windows 7, which is located on remote location. I can ping the desktop and able to access shares. Please help to enable RDP without visiting the remote location.

Hi Query King,

To Enable the RDP of remote machine, Login into any machine from where you can access the registry of remote machine.


1. Go to Run and type "regedit"

2. In registry console, Go to File -> Connect Network Registry.

3. Enter the name of your remote computer and connect to it.

4. Navigate to Key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> System -> CurrentControlSet -> Control -> Terminal Server.

5. Then Change the value of “fDenyTSConnections” to “0”.

 

Once Registry Value Changed, Reboot your remote computer by following given steps.

1.  Go to Run and type "Shutdown -i"

2. it will open a new windows, enter your remote computer name and reboot the computer.
